Biography

Born in 1973 in Bristol, UK, I studied composition with Richard Leigh Harris and John Mayer and Bass Trombone performance with Alwyn Green at the Birmingham Conservatoire from 1992 to 1996. In 1996 I also studied Jazz performance at the Paris Conservatoire with Fran├žois Jeanneau, Fran├žois Theberge and Joe Lovano.

I have had works for woodwind, brass, percussion and strings performed across the world. Always looking for exciting opportunities, I have held roles at the Musicians’ Union, Coventry University, Birmingham Conservatoire as well as being a lead performer on trombone working with many touring shows, great British orchestras and jazz clubs throughout the UK.

Since 2018 I’ve has been Composer in Residence at Warwick School where I regularly provides compositions and arrangements for pupil ensembles big and small.

I am lucky to have had original works published by Warwick Music Ltd. and some are featured on the syllabus for music grade examinations in Trumpet and Bass Trombone for Trinity College and the ABRSM.

I live in the West Midlands with my family and one cat.
